Apr 6, 1947 in Laurens Co, SC (of a heart attack), m. Mar 20 or 30, 1893, Dr. Hugh Kerr Aiken, b. Oct 3, 1867 in Greenwood, SC, d. Jan 6, 1920, s/o (Lt.) Augustus Milton Aiken, b. Jan 10, 1834 in Winnsboro, SC, d. Aug 9, 1906 in Charlotte, NC and Mary Ann Chapman Gilliam, b. Jan 27, 1845 in Greenwood, SC, m. May 23, 1866, d. Jun 2, 1877 in Greenwood, SC; 2. Harry L. Thames, b. abt 1871-73, m. abt 1893 Mamie Benson, b. Oct 1874 in SC, pos d/o Thomas P. Benson, b. 1834 in SC and Mallie E. (--), b. 1854 in SC; and 3. Hallie R. Thames, b. Aug 1876-77 in Charleston, SC, d. Mar 5, 1941, in Charleston, SC, m. bet Nov 8, 1899 and 1901 Charles Laurens Moore, b. Dec 10, 1884 in GA I have the children of Mary and Harry but I don’t think Hallie and Charles Moore had any children; in fact, I believe he may have died in WWI (he was living in 1910 when the SC census shows both he and Hallie in the household of her brother Harry, and in 1918 when he signed his WWI Draft Registration Card, but is not listed in Harry’s household on the 1920 census (neither is Hallie), or with Hallie on the 1930 SC census where she is again living with her brother Harry.
